About the downloadable work
Finger Fairies is conceptually more tender than any work I have previously realised. It deals with the throw away and ubiquitous tiny wonders of daily life. I want to make them visible, relevant and, most of all, lovable. To qualify for my love, the diminutive subjects have to fit within a set of parameters that form the first stage of the work. Obsession follows and the process takes over, from tiny to the ungraspable, until I am painting pixels.
Series 1 is available exclusively from Artocracy, as downloads or framed works. Series 2 is available as limited editions (editions of 37). For more info, see Editions.

"In January 2005, Megan Murphy launched Artocracy.org, a new link between artists and a previously untapped audience. The audience gets good art in the $20 to $50 range. "I'm looking for art with content that matches its form, and evidence the artist has thought about the digital delivery," she said.

The global Web community has voted Artocracy.org as Best Art Website of the year in the Webby People's Voice Awards.
Artocracy.org, a digital marketplace for original art, was among five art websites to be nominated for the academy's 2008 "Webby Award," dubbed "the Oscars of the Internet" by the New York Times.
